Tanzania Expects To Attract 5million Foreign Tourists by 2025

TANZANIA is expecting to attract a total of 5million foreign tourists in the country by 2025, the greater number which will surpass the set target of welcoming at least 4.5million visitors.


The Minister of National Resources and Tourism,  Mohamed Mchengerwa unveiled the impressive projection in the country’s tourism sector yesterday In Arusha region as he was witnessing the great wildebeest migration–the 800 kilometer trek of the immense wildebeest herd in the Serengeti National Park.

He expressed that, the Great Wildebeest Migration is a movement of different animals as they migrate from one destination to another in search of fresh and greener pastures through the Mara River. 

"The eye- catching event has been attracting thousands and millions of tourists for the past 60 years," he unveiled. 
In Tanzania,  the tourism sector contributes at least 25 percent of the country's  foreign currency earnings.
