President Samia Launches Over 9bn/- Worth STAMICO's Mining Equipments

PRESIDENT Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan has launched five modern engraving machines for the small miners, along with other equipment, introduced in the country by the State Mining Corporation (STAMICO).



The vital mining implements, purchased by STAMICO at around 9,178,559,128/- is projected to play meaningful role in help the small miners in the country to improve their performance,  thus increasing the sector's contributions towards the state coffer. 

The launching ceremony was held at the Dodoma's Ultra-modern Jakaya Kikwete Conference Center, attracting stakeholders from all facets and levels in the country’s mining sector.



Moreover, the colourful event went in tandem with the handing over of the equipment to the Federation of Small Miners Tanzania (FEMATA) and the Association of Tanzanian Women Miners (TAWOMA).

The high-tech mining machineries includes five carvings machines (worth 2.22m/-) three dump trucks ( 544m/-), one lowbed truck ( 274m/-), one coal grinding plant crusher which worth around 1.58bn/-.


Others are one stone/aggregate crusher (worth 1.137bn/-), one air compressor (424m/-), and a water bowser worth at  210m/-.



Together with that, the event also witnesses the handing over of the two plants for the production of alternative charcoal (Rafiki Briquettes) with the capacity to produce 20 tons per hour,  worth at 2.396bn/- two vehicles ( hardtop) for mineral production activities in mines,  worth 317m/- , and Jaw Crusher, 20 metal detector, as well as diesel engine type 24HP One, value at 72.5m/-.
