Makole Citizens Donates 50 Bottles Of Safe Blood To Curtail Shortage

MORE than 100 citizens of Makole Ward in Dodoma Capital City have voluntary donated at least 50 bottles of safe blood, thanks to the Raise Yourself To Help Mankind.


The NGO, ‘Raise Yourself To Help Mankind’ stood at the forefront to sensitize the citizens in the popular Ward located at the heart of the Dodoma Capital City to donate the said bottles of blood with an eye to curtail a shortage of a life-serving health services in the Ward, as well as the Dodoma Region as a whole.

An acronym for ‘Raise Yourself To Help Mankind’is at the heart of everything we do. It reflects our responsibility to play a pivotal role in achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


 

Speaking during the blood donating exercise, the Representative of the Raise Yourself To Help Mankind, Dr Monica Shayo expressed that they have decided to embark on a helpful exercise of sensitizing the citizens in the Ward to see the important of donating blood in order to serve the lives of a number of patients who are dying to absence of the key life-saving service.

“Blood is life, and human bloods have no any other alternative sources,and thus, when a patient is in need of blood the only way to get blood is to be donated by the other human being,” he detailed.

And Dr Shayo added that the NGO, ‘Raise Yourself To Help Mankind’ will continue standing firm to support the Government in the general goals to roll out key humanitarian services to the diverse communities, especially the marginalized ones.

He informed that the reputable NGO has also been engaging into the general task of providing needed education towards the communities on proper use of medicines.
