Tanzania To Participate In 2024 India's Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Exhibitions

TANZANIA has been given a special grace to take part at free cost in the next year’s 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show 2024, the international high-profile trade exhibitions drafted to take shape from 9th January 2024 in India.

The envisaged event which will go in sync with celebrations of 20 years of Vibrant Gujarat as the summit of success, will be staged at Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Center in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India.

Vibrant Gujarat is a biennial investors' summit organized by the government of Gujarat in Gujarat, India aimed at bringing together business leaders, investors, corporations, thought leaders, policy and opinion makers from across the world to understand and explore business opportunities available in Gujarat.


Giving an exclusive interview to this publication, the high officer at the Tanzania Investment Center (TIC) who prefers to remain anonymous said more than 30 local investors have so far confirmed to participate in the coming exhibition in India.

“The event is expected to attract the participants from over 20 countries to showcase their products pertaining to various key economic sectors, including industry, agro -processing, health, ICT, industrial park, renewable energy, mining, honey, engineering, wood and trade in general,” the officer unveiled.

The officer expressed the impressive development surfaces as a result of president Samia Suluhu Hassan visit to India in October, 2023, the vital visit which among others, focused on attracting more Indian investors into the country, as well as cementing bilateral ties between the two countries.

“President Samia has directed us, TIC, to work further efforts to translate into reality her top vision to heighten influx of Indian investments into the country in 2024, with target to ensure that India stands amid the top countries with large investments in Tanzania, as the case of China, Singapore and Germany,” the officer unveiled.

According to the officer, as part to further strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries (Tanzania and India) Tanzania has been given a special honor to be a co-partners in the envisaged trade show, Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Summit 2024.

“The event will provide a crucial podium for the local stakeholders to showcase their products freely, but also acquire vital knowledge and experience from others from across the globe, as well as attracting capital, technology  market and joint venture partners,” the officer insited.

As per the exhibitions setups, there will be a groundbreaking road show and business forums to be held in three major cities, including Pune, Bangalore and Ahmadabad.

“TIC is challenging the local investors from different economic affiliations to turn out in large number and participating in the forthcoming crucial trade show so as to help more doors for expanding the scope of their investments, but also to help fueling President Samia’s ongoing aspiration over attaining an investment-centric administration,” the TIC officer urged.

At the set exhibition’s grounds, at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, there will be special vast booths for the Tanzanian companies to exhibit their products at free bases.

Among others, the event will showcase the evolution of Gujarat from the inception in 2003 as an event to attract investments in the state to working towards a global leadership in 2024. At least two curtain raiser events are being planned at New Delhi and Mumbai.

Some of the countries expected to feature in the event include include Japan, Finland, Morocco, Republic of Korea, Mozambique, Estonia, UAE, Australia, UK, Netherlands, Norway, Nepal, Thailand, Bangladesh, Germany, and Egypt.

Moreover, the partner organizations set to participate include American Chamber of Commerce in India (AMCHAM India), Canada India Foundation, EPIC India-University of Chicago, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Indo-Canadian Chamber of Commerce (ICCC), Indo-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry, International Solar Alliance, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO), The Council of EU Chambers of Commerce in India, UAE India Business Council, US India Business Council (USIBC), US India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), and the Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM).
